Ice out update for March 21………

What I can tell you from the East Cape is that it is 90 plus degrees on the water and I have no clue what’s happening to the ice on Vermilion Bay……so keep your guesses coming and I will update you as soon as I return.  Let me just say I have full confidence in being able to take the quad over into the portage lakes to deliver gas for the summer when I return……

 

For your fishing pleasure I include this picture of a yellow tail tuna I caught today…….about 25 pounds.  I’ve tried several days at landing one of these with no luck.  It’s been hit or miss and a real lesson in the difference between expectation and reality!  It’s fishing after all.

    Nice tunny fish.!!!! Not so sure about those shorts though…..there a whole lot of stuff going on there. I guess that is one way to attract some attention to one’s loinage.

    Is it true that on April 1, Vermilion Bay celebrates a day much like Sulfestuka in Norway? Rumor has it that this the first day that your lilly white ars sees the sun for the first time upon exiting the sauna. I believe it’s known as Gordstuka. If it’s true, I am sure the Perchmaster could be regaled with a short story filled with pictures?
