Ice Out Update #7….April 27, 2016

Some action happening this afternoon!  An east wind has started moving the ice causing a bit of a pile-up on Gull Rock, much to the annoyance of the gulls.  There is even a gap that has opened up from Gull Rock extending towards the Government Dock.

Lake levels are way up which is nice.  Today I even put the wood boat in the water.  Wish I could say because I’m going fishing……no, I just need the trailer to send the new upgrade boat to Kenora for it’s 40 horse “fitting”.

By the way, still not too late to enter an ice out guess if you haven’t already done so.  Email your guess to Gord.

Here’s some images from late this afternoon….
