By late afternoon the ice pack was gone!  Ice out = April 29, 2016!  Thanks to all those who sent in a guess…..there was over 40 people who took a shot at it.  Congratulations to runners up George Benger (April 28) and Don Graham (April 30)…..better luck next year boys!  The winner for 2016 with the only correct guess is, once again, Katie Perkis…….now a two time Ice Out Champion!  She will be rewarded with her choice of fabulous VBL bling, and will be the envy of those at camp.   Here’s a few shots of the lake this evening……ice free!  I think I see a trout………

  1. Those things are called geese in the US. Did they change the name to Canadian Trout up there?

I’m pretty well crushed about not winning this year ……….:(

  2. In a few weeks, I see happy fishermen, returning with a walleye catch and the well reward libations following a hard day on the water, on one of the most beautiful lakes in Ontario. Keep up the good work Gord
