Winter is back, life of a dog, and some inspirational fishing photos…

Did we seem to think that because the ice was gone that Spring was around the corner?  Wrong……..two shots from today, several hours apart.

It’s bad enough that the highway is closed in both directions.  Terrible if you are a traveler, but not so bad if you are a dog.  Here’s some examples of the cheap entertainment Stella and Lily get to experience every day…..”it’s squirrel time!”

The squirrels want the bird seed, the dogs want the squirrel.  Patience does pay off.  A number of the less agile squirrels have become saliva covered lawn ornaments……

Fishing Opener is coming……

A beauty of a fish!

  1. Thank you so much for posting that stunning picture of you and Jeremey Wade coming out of the sauna. I really didn’t need to see that again . It took a long time to forget it the first time.

If you’re looking for an outstanding vacation spot for the serious fisherman or a family get away you should consider Vermillion Bay Lodge on Eagle Lake, Ontario Canada. We have stayed at many lake resorts over the years, but none offer the simple pleasures of this one. The lake is large enough and holds enough fish for the most adventuresome fisherman and yet easy for local family fishing for young children. Bring your own boat or use one of the aluminum boats (20 hp) at the lodge. Boat dockage is well protected from the wind and allows easy access to the water.

What sets this lodge apart from most others is it is always clean, well kept with lots to do including paddle boats canoes, bon fires in the evenings and a just plain friendly atmosphere.
