We’re back!

VBL temporarily set up shop for a week down in the Baja, more specifically, the East Cape on the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. It was gruelling……..here Keith and I test out a warm pool with a cold cerveza!

Susanne and I on a day trip where we stopped to check out the Pacific side of the Baja.

In keeping with the fishing nature of this blog we did a day of fishing. Here Susanne is trolling a Rapala for anything that will bite.

The first mate Brian holding one of several Sierra Mackeral that I managed to catch. These turned out to be very tasty!

As with guests at VBL, the dreaded “end of the trip” moment where you grease the evil lodge owner’s palm. Here I pass over my life’s savings to Thomas………….

  1. Glad to see that you are tan, rested, and ready to press on and that you continued to hone your angling skills while you were gone.

  2. I agree Bill I hope he is well rested and ready to clean my fish and you gotta love the hat picture of Susanne and by the way Gord nice shorts…
I hope that is the last of the HOT TUB we see….

Testimonials

If you’re looking for an outstanding vacation spot for the serious fisherman or a family get away you should consider Vermillion Bay Lodge on Eagle Lake, Ontario Canada. We have stayed at many lake resorts over the years, but none offer the simple pleasures of this one. The lake is large enough and holds enough fish for the most adventuresome fisherman and yet easy for local family fishing for young children. Bring your own boat or use one of the aluminum boats (20 hp) at the lodge. Boat dockage is well protected from the wind and allows easy access to the water.

What sets this lodge apart from most others is it is always clean, well kept with lots to do including paddle boats canoes, bon fires in the evenings and a just plain friendly atmosphere.
