Charles Weiss August 9, 2020 at 1:33 pm Reply Hey, Gordon and lodge staff Did you have a Walleye Madness this year?
Gord August 9, 2020 at 1:38 pm Reply Well, it was like we had the party and nobody came! We will have to start over next year…
Teal River August 10, 2020 at 6:46 am Reply Thanks for the lifeline. Great and eclectic selection of pics. I presume you won the Colonel Sanders look alike contest.
Barry Young August 10, 2020 at 12:14 pm Reply When I was a youngster, my mother fed me a spoonful of Cod Liver Oil every day, apparently for medicinal reasons!? On the back of the large brown bottle was a picture of a fisherman holding up a large fish (a cod, I assume). You Gord, look remarkably similar to that man in your picture with Louise Winkler. Did you do some modelling in your youth?
Gord August 10, 2020 at 1:27 pm Reply I too had cod liver oil, but mine was orange flavored. It did come in a brown bottle, and perhaps I’ve had a hidden desire all these years to look like a fisherman…
Professor August 10, 2020 at 12:45 pm Reply Gord…Did Bobby Belinski fully recover after being bitten by a VBL muskie? I heard he spent time in a mental institution after the attack.
Gord August 10, 2020 at 1:25 pm Reply It was actually Billy Balinski, and I don’t believe there was any permanent phycological damages.
Bob Swanson August 13, 2020 at 10:42 am Reply Gord, we need a contest. How about how many bottles of beer fit in the fish house cooler? Or when will the border open? Or who will win the Stanley Cup? Just a thought Bob Swanson
Gord August 13, 2020 at 2:58 pm Reply Bob, I will dwell on the contest possibilities and come up with a plan…
Charles Weiss September 25, 2020 at 8:15 pm Reply Hey,mister Gord, what was the largest fish in the Muskie Madness? I hope to book a stay at your lodge in 2021. All the best Chuck Weiss
Gord September 25, 2020 at 9:45 pm Reply Hey Chuck…..no musky madness this year. Will be hoping to host it next year when things are more normal…
Len August 14, 2020 at 11:10 am Reply Well, i just checked, and the border closure has officially been extended for another month. Bah Humbug! I had other thoughts / comments, but I wanted to keep it family friendly!
Len August 20, 2020 at 10:34 am Reply This will be the first time in 35 years that I have not been to Canada on a fishing trip!
