Happy New Year!

2020 will probably go down as the year we will miss the least, and as we step into 2021 let’s hope it will be all uphill from here! Here at the lodge it’s been pretty good, all things considered. We even held some of our holiday celebrations down at the campfire…

The Boxing Day campfire was deemed a success so a few more ensued…

Well there you have it. We ended 2020 with a bit of fun and look forward to more of it in 2021. Hoping that many of you will be able to join us this season. Till then, stay safe and enjoy what the New Year may bring….

Addendum to the last post…

If you read the last blog post you may recall the coincidences surrounding Tom Thomson. (if you have no idea what I’m talking about then go back to the last post and refresh yourself). Since Susanne likes to hang up a calendar in the kitchen I picked one up and made a frame for it as a Christmas present. Little did I know the January picture was a painting by….guess who, yes, the one and only…..Tom Thomson!

      Professor…you need to get out more…after the pandemic, I suggest you begin touring various ice fishing shelters in your area…see “what’s really going on” in there!

    Professor: And your from Wisconsin !!?! Ice fishing tents are used as beer / wine/ whiskey / jaeger tents ALL THE TIME! 🙂 Very much looking forward to seeing old friends at VBL in 2021!! Maybe we will convert the screen perch into a whiskey shelter. I made a new year’s resolution. I am going to try to make an effort to help Mary keep track of her drink!
