August 11th…

The past few weeks have been a blur.  Fishing has had it’s ups and downs with the only constant being the large number of mosquitos that have descended upon us.  Some relief in sight though…..the dragon flies are showing up in greater numbers with large appetites!

Some good musky activity along with a fairly consistent walleye bite (they seem to still favor the 20-25 foot depth ranges)…..with a few token bass thrown in for good measure.  Let’s check out some images of the past few weeks….

Spoiler Alert:  Here’s a couple of pictures from this week to wet your appetite for the next blog post.  After seeing these you might wish you were here!

Still Wishing You Were Coming But Haven’t Got Off The Couch To Book?  I Still Have A Few Openings Left After The  24th Of August And Into September….Plus One (Only One) For The Last Week Of September Which Is “Musky Madness”.  Time To Bust A Move!

If you’re looking for an outstanding vacation spot for the serious fisherman or a family get away you should consider Vermillion Bay Lodge on Eagle Lake, Ontario Canada. We have stayed at many lake resorts over the years, but none offer the simple pleasures of this one. The lake is large enough and holds enough fish for the most adventuresome fisherman and yet easy for local family fishing for young children. Bring your own boat or use one of the aluminum boats (20 hp) at the lodge. Boat dockage is well protected from the wind and allows easy access to the water.

What sets this lodge apart from most others is it is always clean, well kept with lots to do including paddle boats canoes, bon fires in the evenings and a just plain friendly atmosphere.
