Andy May 21, 2015 at 12:06 pm Reply Its good to see some small trout. We always had a motor on Otter. His name was Gord.
Professor May 22, 2015 at 10:35 am Reply Yeah, I’m going to miss that motor. While he never purred, the grunting was real nice to listen to.
Andy May 22, 2015 at 3:18 pm Reply Professor. Think of this way. Now we have a backup motor not too far away when the motor on caribou doesn’t start, or the Bears decide to sniff gas fumes. You can then hear that familiar grunting sound as Gord returns to the landing with a motor over his shoulder. It will be like the “good old days”.
Andy May 27, 2015 at 4:17 pm Reply Professor, do you remember the time that we turned around in the row boat on Otter creek after hearing motor boat noises, only to discover that Gord had a bad case of Flatulence? God help us all if he discovers this breast cancer awareness movement on-line: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP8zXJ_xsEc
Professor May 27, 2015 at 10:00 pm Hi Andy…It’s difficult to forget that experience. While those farts were robust, they, fortunately, were odorless. I recall the three of us discussing how much faster we might get across Otter if the gas could be used for propulsion.

Dustin Kaehr May 31, 2015 at 8:57 pm Reply The 3hp was perfect! Even worked when we had carry it to the next lake….. 🙂 Report and pics to come later this week!
Andy June 1, 2015 at 9:09 pm Reply Say it ain’t so Dustin. Was it the motor on caribou? Any sign of gas sniffing bears?
Dustin K June 13, 2015 at 9:37 pm Reply That was the motor on Otter. No bears looking for a buzz….but motor problems meant we hiked back to Otter and brought that little beast into Caribou for the day!
Gord June 13, 2015 at 10:16 pm Reply I flew in there this past week. It was just the hose on the tank that was the problem. Motor on Caribou runs fine now.
