Ice out update: May 8, 2014

Oh yah baby!  Boat in the water!  Oh yah…

Daffodil’s are smokin’ hot…..oh, yah baby!  What’s that?  No way!

Well, sure…there’s a bit o’ ice left.  No problem.  Plenty of melting time left.

You can’t really call this ice.  It’s just one good wind away from becoming a distant memory.  Call me delirious….call me optimistic.  The upcoming “Mother’s day update” will tell the tale.  Stay tuned for the Sunday edition.

No matter the current conditions, it’s still better than this…………….

………me driving Keith Mitchell’s new Mule across Vermilion Bay to his island….

Get ready for some killer lake trout action….coming soon!

  1. Seeing that Alumarine with the shiny new Yamaha nestled up to the dock put a smile on my face….Diane likes the daffodil photo….chicks.

On behalf of the Boyes Group, I would like to pass on our sincere thanks for hosting the Muskie Madness Week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at VBL and had a great time!! This was our 7th year on Eagle Lake and we have stayed at a few other lodges but VBL takes the cake hands down! You can definitely count us in for next year. I’m happy to see you post some of my pics, they turned out well. Thanks again Gord for a wonderful week of fishing and your stellar hospitality, you run a first class operation, we look forward to seeing you next year!
