Why is this man smiling?

Thank you! Can I have another?

Gord finds it a bit odd, but it really is possible to get tired of catching walleyes, pike and trout. I find it really relaxing to break up the week spending part of a day fishing perch. As the perchmaster has demonstrated, one can rack up impressive numbers in the spring. Its a bit more challenging in August, but there are plenty of perch to be had. One can simply lay back, in this case, on the floor, and enjoy the view of Gord filleting perch. Don’t let his grumpy demeanor fool you. He really enjoys the task.

August Perch

Billy was a bit agitated by the finicky perch and got a little hot under the collar. He ended up stripping down to his boxer shorts. Gord….there seems to be a recent theme here? You might notice the hernia that looks like Bill’s right arm. His wife allowed him to make the trip but insisted he couldn’t catch any big fish. Perch seemed like just the ticket.

I think the Professor is going to hit the walleyes hard but if his luck doesn’t change, urge him to give the perch a try, or just tell him to put on a happy face. When the Professor puts on a heavy layer of sun tan lotion, he often takes on this appearance. We need to find an appropriate hat to replace that Tilly hat.

  1. Congrats Andy! That is a nice mess of E.L. perch. By the way, the clown decanter is the unofficial prech fishing trophy for V.B.L., which you now retain. Unfortunately for you, the winner of this reknowned award is required to drink a healthy shot of the arromatic contents of this well deserved trophy. Bits of cork and all. Enjoy!

  2. It’s a little known fact that the clown-like whiskey flask is actually derived from a wax mold of Mark M’s head……..believe it or not!!

Regarding my photo……for those who don’t often crawl under the fish cleaning table (other than Maggie the hound, and Andy)…..that is a view from the gut bucket through the hole in the fish cleaning table. I suppose I may be giving a salute to the perch I was forced to endure while Andy was watching………

  3. So, Perchmaster, it’s been long hours toiling at the riding crop factory?

Andy, I believe the Professor must be prepping for his upcoming double Canadian whammy. Let’s hope the old Lexus is up to the adventure of traversing the goat trail into Aerobus Lake! The staff at VBL are busy readying the red carpet for his arrival in 2 weeks……….
