An Outing to Clearwater Lake

A beautiful Fall day to venture back into Clearwater Lake.  The trail was a bit muddy but only a brisk 15 minute walk to the boats.  Henry and Anna are fishing with yours truly, George, Tim and Cam man the other boat.  The morning of fishing seems successful………

A few days later George decides to return but via the creek this time.  Is it passable?  It should be, but it may be slow……

Tim manhandles the African Queen through the last stretch of the creek.   Perhaps the 15 minute portage trail walk wasn’t such a bad deal after-all?  Now, if I can only get the guests to carry me across the portage trail………..

  1. Wow, those water levels are down considerably. You forgot to mention those nice new motors, seats, and rod holder brackets on the portage boats! The Lake Trout fishery in both Clearwater and Eagle Lake offer some amazing lake trout fishing opportunities. It’s probably not worthy of it’s own post, but here is a short video focusing on our fall trout fishing experience:

By the way, very nice pictures!
