Teal River April 24, 2014 at 1:11 pm Reply Thanks for the update. After 3 or 4 days I get squirrelly without one. The car siding looks very nice….hope I can still afford to come.
Gord April 24, 2014 at 4:55 pm Reply You should come up and help me pay for it! But thanks for the compliment….I need all the motivation I can get at this point.
Professor April 25, 2014 at 9:41 am Reply I’m duly impressed with your efforts on Cabin 7. It reminds me of an old time cabin with new cabin charm. Will you be stocking it with the beautiful VBL Mugs from yesteryear? Andy is a bit of a soft-touch when it comes to appeals for financial support (such as your’s to the Perchmaster). He and I have talked and have decided to dedicate our entire September trip bill to the Cabin 7 Renovation Fund. We hope this enables you to find the motivation needed to spend lavishly on your guests.
Andy April 24, 2014 at 4:58 pm Reply Teal River, Steve K. from Richland Center is joining us the third week in August. He will come armed with a few Teal River rods.
Dustin Kaehr April 24, 2014 at 6:40 pm Reply All looking good, Gord! Looking forward to seeing it in person in a few weeks!
Andy April 25, 2014 at 2:23 pm Reply Gord, I think you better secure a lease on an ice breaker boat. Clear the lake right up to about 100 yards of your competitors. Dustin doesn’t want to have to fish with an auger.
Perchmaster April 25, 2014 at 3:40 pm Reply Bring the auger Dustin it looks like you will be getting some late ice fishing in this year
Charles Weiss April 25, 2014 at 5:38 pm Reply Gord: Keep going sawing the boards ,hammering the nails and measuring twice and cutting once! looks impressive.
Perchmaster April 26, 2014 at 2:58 pm Reply The rumor mill has it that early arriving guests this year will be rewarded with hammer and nails and apron to help on the remodel.
Andy April 27, 2014 at 10:00 am Reply Gord, if it is the tough economy getting in the way of the Perchmaster making a visit I truly feel for him. It has impacted a lot of people. However I have a solution. Hire him as a movie extra (volunteer carpenter), and post a video of him exiting the sauna on his way to the job site wearing an apron and singing YMCA. It might go viral and open up a whole new audience to VBL? I bet he can swing a hammer with the best of them.
Gord April 27, 2014 at 4:34 pm Reply Andy, a carpenters apron would not work for the Perchmaster. You need butt cheeks, or at least some hip bones to hold it up. As far as the hammer idea, I’m not sure if he is capable of swinging something heavier than a 1/16 oz. jig head tipped with a piece of Chena bait……
