Ice Fishing for lakers……..

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Chris and Nick have been chasing trout for a few years now.  Who can forget “The Legend of Trophy Angler” and “Assault on Eagle Lake“.  Since the addition of  sidekick “Judd” the competition has ramped up another notch.  In this year’s quest for trophy lake trout both Chris and Nick catch their personal best.

  1. I know a nice Lake trout Lake that could use a new landing with a winch. Enjoy your fun for now. How far away could ice out be? How soon can we expect another rigged ice out competition?

    1. I agree. A new landing with a winch would make me very happy. As for the laker video…Nice fish, indeed. However, I found the language to be rather tame and nowhere near as course as I had been expecting.

  2. It looks like these young lads knew how to land a big lake trout without hitting the “snag release ” on the reel………aka. …… I horsed the fish and straightened out the hook. ?????

I agree with Andy, the ice is melting and the rigged ice out contest should commence sooner than later.

    1. O.K. you guys. I will post something on an ice out contest shortly……..and yes, Andy, I have not forgotten about the boat ramp. My plan is to haul in some material in a week or so…..

If you’re looking for an outstanding vacation spot for the serious fisherman or a family get away you should consider Vermillion Bay Lodge on Eagle Lake, Ontario Canada. We have stayed at many lake resorts over the years, but none offer the simple pleasures of this one. The lake is large enough and holds enough fish for the most adventuresome fisherman and yet easy for local family fishing for young children. Bring your own boat or use one of the aluminum boats (20 hp) at the lodge. Boat dockage is well protected from the wind and allows easy access to the water.

What sets this lodge apart from most others is it is always clean, well kept with lots to do including paddle boats canoes, bon fires in the evenings and a just plain friendly atmosphere.
