Launching a boat at VBL

As opening day approaches, I am reminded of a favorite spring ritual. Observation of the idiots launching their boats for the first time of the year.

It’s always quite entertaining and a bit frustrating. Some people just weren’t meant to launch boats. So, if you bring your own boat up to VBL, rest assured that Gord has consulted with his canadian friends at the Red Green show and has come up with a solution. It’s been a long winter in Vermilion Bay, and Gord has thought long and hard about how to use those extra rolls of duct tape out in the shed. He now has a boat launching device that will solve all of your problems. See:

  1. That’s why any Gord is always on the assist for any “nervous nellies” down at athe launch. Nothing that a tractor can’t fix – just don’t spin your wheels in his gravel!!! Susanne

Testimonials

On behalf of the Boyes Group, I would like to pass on our sincere thanks for hosting the Muskie Madness Week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at VBL and had a great time!! This was our 7th year on Eagle Lake and we have stayed at a few other lodges but VBL takes the cake hands down! You can definitely count us in for next year. I’m happy to see you post some of my pics, they turned out well. Thanks again Gord for a wonderful week of fishing and your stellar hospitality, you run a first class operation, we look forward to seeing you next year!
