March 27, Ice out update….

After enduring the many complaints over the fat man in the green thong, I offer you this brief update to take your mind off that terrible image…

Who can forget the amazing biking opportunities here in Vermilion Bay!

Unfortunately, as of today the only thing you will be riding is your snowmachine...

  1. Gord….that is a familiar sight. We are experiencing a long winter as well. No bike rides planned, but the professor and I are headed over to the big pond on Friday to chase some lakers. Just a warm-up for our trip to VBL.

  2. Gord…I don’t like to ask people questions that are difficult to answer. However, I now feel compelled to.

    Have you lost you mind?

You are moving from one extreem to another with the photo choices. The initial Big Dick photo and caption was truly horrific, no doubt about that. Now we get an ass without a face. What are the wonderful women of VBL to think about this? I’ll tell you what–they are wondering if this could be their ass and how you managed to get an action photo of it. I know this based on the reaction of the missus. In fact, she initially claimed the ass to be hers before realizing the tan lines made this impossible.

I think the readers of the blog deserve an explanation. Let me close with this thought. Should the ass in question belong to Susanne, I can only hope that she granted permission for you to use it on the blog.

  3. I cannot recognize the location of the sand dunes in the photo .. they must be from one of those secret locations of yours – just like the fishing spots!

  4. Well it must be update time by now?
Looks like we are going to miss out on some late ice out conditions.
Couple of spots on Eagle and a portage trip lake will be on fire this spring.
Sure you don’t need a guide?

    1. I was hoping to have an update to report, but things pretty much look the same! The conditions are going to be “ripe” for opening week………..really too bad you’ll be missing it!!!!

Thank you very much for making my get a way week so enjoyable. Dan and I had a great time. You and Susanne should be commended on how clean and well maintained your cabins and lodge are. I will recommend you to anyone that is looking to go to Canada fishing and I look forward to the time I can come back.
