Gord April 11, 2012 at 11:04 pm Reply …..and won’t we all look jaunty going across the portage trail into Clearwater Lake sporting our beaver-skin top hats!
Professor April 13, 2012 at 9:35 am Reply Andy…I wasn’t surprised to learn that Gord refused to warranty your son’s VBL hat. Gord has often said that a little dirt on the hat is a good thing, and a lot of dirt is even better. His own hats are truly filthy. Perhaps Shawn could allow for a little more dirt in his life. However, I can offer a solution if he cannot. I have a VBL hat that I would be willing to part with because it no longer fits my swelled head. This hat is clean. I only wore it for formal situations, such as a wedding or graduation, and the occasional date-night with the missus.
Andy April 23, 2012 at 9:19 am Reply Gord…I am thinking that these hats could double as bailers for the boats on Clear Water? Or did the rivets get repaired along with the new motors? I can’t wait to be fishing in those boats with dry feet, new motors, seats, and rod holders. I am assuming that lake levels are down and that this adventure might again be a VBL exclusive? Can’t wait. Andy
Gord April 24, 2012 at 7:22 am Reply Andy, I believe I mentioned that the problem was not the rivets, but the drain plug just needed to be tightened up. All is good. I just have to figure out how to get my motors and gas in there this spring. I missed the snowmobile “window” of opportunity this spring because of the quick melt. Water levels are way down, so I think you will have the lake to yourself this year. You should be here now, the trout are biting.
