Eagle Lake Ice Out: Update #8

“Bamboo” Mark M. from Green Bay, Wi…close but no banana!

Eagle Lake Ice Out delay also strips Keith Mitchell a chance to take theoretical second place (there is no second place).

Yes, like a piece of toilet paper stuck to your shoe, the ice is hard to shake…

….and NO, the first place prize is not a banana.  Things are looking pretty sketchy in terms of “ice longevity”.  I’m sensing a winner any day now……..

The Eagle Lake Ice Out is almost over…

…stay tuned for the final report on the Eagle Lake Ice Out contest!

  1. Anyone besides notice a pattern here yet?
Seems to me all the people who brough in “PERCH” this past season have been booted from the contest once gain.

  2. Kurt,

Its always under the surface, but this is not the first time I have experienced perch discrimination. All you can do is fight back. Be proud of the perch. Bring in more the following year.

I have been making the trip to Vermilion Bay Lodge for the past 10 years and have never once been disappointed. If you like great walleye, northern, musky and trout fishing, this place should not be overlooked. The fishing has been excellent… no matter what time we went.
