What’s been going on at VBL in January?

The hermit surveys Eagle Lake....

Yea, I know, what’s with the lack of updates?

What can I say…  The weather has been pretty nasty for fishing and it seems dealing with an old computer and finally going to a new one is a bit taxing on the 57 year old brain.  Anyways, here’s a bit of a video that sums up some of what has occurred over the past month.  Click on the link……….

  1. Hi Gord…In consideration of a new computer, the weather and your age, you still managed to get outdoors once in January. This is still a nice accomplishment. Many lesser men would be happy to sit back with the bottle and stay indoors. My hat’s off to you. Can we expect another update towards the end of February?

If Gord is dealing with Windows 8 I feel for him.
I know computers and different systems cause of work and home and I have had a chance to play with Windows 8 and it sucks…..

  2. I turned on my computer to send you an email to see if you were still kicking. Gave the Beav one more try and viola! Good to see you both are doing fine. Thank you for the VBL hit……I needed it!

If you’re looking for an outstanding vacation spot for the serious fisherman or a family get away you should consider Vermillion Bay Lodge on Eagle Lake, Ontario Canada. We have stayed at many lake resorts over the years, but none offer the simple pleasures of this one. The lake is large enough and holds enough fish for the most adventuresome fisherman and yet easy for local family fishing for young children. Bring your own boat or use one of the aluminum boats (20 hp) at the lodge. Boat dockage is well protected from the wind and allows easy access to the water.

What sets this lodge apart from most others is it is always clean, well kept with lots to do including paddle boats canoes, bon fires in the evenings and a just plain friendly atmosphere.
