The morning after

Gordon had a long sleepless night. He dragged himself out of bed and went back and read the ransom note. “Tell us all the Perchmaster’s fishing secrets or the clown gets it.”

He poured himself another cup of Jo and added a shot of Baily’s Irish cream. He swallowed hard and went to retrieve a highlighter pen and a copy of the Eagle Lake map. He began highlighting all of Kurt’s favorite spots. Actually he found the process liberating. Why hadn’t he done this a long time ago?

He decided right then that every new guest would get “the new map”. He handed it to the professors and waited for instructions.
Just then there was a knock on the door. Nothing but photos. Mr. Binky looked just fine.

  1. It might have been in your best interest to hold out Gord….
    Who takes care of you?
Anyways Gord does not know how and where to “BULL PERCH” fish….
Gord does not know the 2 hot spots we fish on the portage lake…
And when it comes down to fishing our HOT SPOT you have to know and have the feel of the structure and the movement of the species…. So I am not really worried about that spot being hammered…
So my guess is your still fishless on Eagle and that is why you have all this time on your hands?
Sure would be nice to see some pics but my guess is the only pics you guys have so far are of Gord with his chaps on running down to meet the Professor down in the sauna room….

Testimonials

On behalf of the Boyes Group, I would like to pass on our sincere thanks for hosting the Muskie Madness Week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at VBL and had a great time!! This was our 7th year on Eagle Lake and we have stayed at a few other lodges but VBL takes the cake hands down! You can definitely count us in for next year. I’m happy to see you post some of my pics, they turned out well. Thanks again Gord for a wonderful week of fishing and your stellar hospitality, you run a first class operation, we look forward to seeing you next year!
