June 2023 Update…

Well the month of June has flown by. Thank you to all our guests this past month and thanks again for sharing your photographs with me! I know I’ve missed some good ones. If you feel you’ve been left out or have some good ones lurking on your phone send me a message with your pics and we’ll use them in the next blog post.

Fishing was great in June. Starting out early the trout and bass were cooperative. Walleye / pike have remained in the shallows even up to the end of June……making for some interesting catches casting or trolling. Musky season started out with a bang……a very nice 53 1/2 incher caught by Cheryl Perkis! Other nice ones caught and / or seen…..it’s looking to be a great musky season. Speaking of musky, I was reminded that pre-season muskies need to be “immediately” released as stated in the fisheries regulations…..we won’t be posting pictures of those fish accidentally caught pre-season unless it’s an “in the water release photo”.

Rather than some static photos from June I’ve put together a short slide show / video that I hope captures the highlights from this past month. You’ll notice in one aerial shot the water looks a bit “funky”. We were right in the middle of a major pine pollen event combined with low water…. Anyways hope you enjoy the video, and remember I have limited openings available for 2024. The early bird gets the worm!
