Eagle Lake Ice Out…

So far I’ve had about 25 people submit their ice out guess.  Surprisingly, only a few of you have picked the same dates.  I’m sorry to report that those “early birds’ who picked dates in March for the ice to be gone are not going to be sporting that VBL-wear!  Drat!  If you’ve been biding your time, hiding in the weeds, now is your chance to let me know your ice out guess……..email me!

Coming soon…….

Yes, that seems a long way from an Eagle Lake Ice Out prediction.  Stay tuned for my report on the “Vermilion Bay Lodge of the Baja”…and some of the great fishing that took place on our recent excursion to the Sea of Cortez.  There will be drama, there will be videos, there will be marguarita’s.

More Eagle Lake Updates to follow…

  1. I believe your perch lake may be inaccessible to mortal humans this spring….unless we get some rain, which I am banking on……….. There is still plenty of time to fill up the lake…… It is low……….right now it has begun to snow.

Testimonials

On behalf of the Boyes Group, I would like to pass on our sincere thanks for hosting the Muskie Madness Week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at VBL and had a great time!! This was our 7th year on Eagle Lake and we have stayed at a few other lodges but VBL takes the cake hands down! You can definitely count us in for next year. I’m happy to see you post some of my pics, they turned out well. Thanks again Gord for a wonderful week of fishing and your stellar hospitality, you run a first class operation, we look forward to seeing you next year!
