April 16th saw Vermilion Bay Lodge thrown back into winter.  So much for the warming trend!  Looks like the ice melt on Eagle Lake  has been put on hold…

….but, as usual the sun returns and hope for open water on Eagle Lake is back!

Easter weekend and the Eagle Lake ice out process is speeding up.  A winning date?  Your guess is as good as mine!

    It’s looking better than those who picked dates in April! This could be a year where nobody guesses right. Still plenty of open May dates for those who haven’t guessed yet……
