Eagle Lake Ice Out: Update #7

Tension mounts during Eagle Lake Ice Out Contest

“Disgruntled guest Kurt Hebeker declares “Bullshit”…Eagle Lake Ice Out continues under veil of suspicion!!

Ice pack near Mitchell’s Island…….coincidence or does Keith’s island harbor a “black hole”…..sucking the ice pack into it’s ravenous maw!!!

Ice pack by Keith's Island and Strawberry...a shadow of it's former glory

The Eagle Lake Ice Out continues at its own pace….

…regardless of the pitiful whining and pleading going on behind the scenes.  Oh, you can be sure we are in the final days.  Our crack team of observers and behind the scene judging panel will follow this story to its inevitable conclusion.  Good try Scott Stroupe on the first to guess April 10th (Shawn Lewis, a close second), but being close is not good enough!  Will it be April 11………12………13???  The enigma of the Eagle Lake ice out contest continues….

Enigma def:  a puzzling or inexplicable occurrence or situation

  1. Gord… It concerns me that the Perchmaster is being described as “disgruntled”–even moreso that he is being quoted cursing the contest. That doesn’t sound like the Perchmaster that I’ve come to know and respect. What’s the real story here?

Also, are we still good with this Saturday as the “official” ice-out day?

    1. I’ve noticed this contest brings out the dark side of some folk. Even you, professor. was quoted as requesting your entry fee to be refunded. Andy has frequently cursed me and my ability to run a fair competition, of course only after the date he has picked has “tanked”. If we assume your poor attitude is a result of being on a bender, and Andy’s a result of being overworked in the bowels of academia, this leaves the Perchmaster as somewhat of a mystery. He is getting on in years……”manopause” may be the culprit!

    1. OK Andy I say we drive up and take his boat from him when he is sleeping.
He has played us all along on these contest… Enough is enough!!!!!
I maybe bringing back a souviner this year not sure yet what but I will think of something!!!
