Perchmaster June 9, 2009 at 9:05 pm Reply Neil said he particularly enjoyed the company of the Wisconsin boys and hopes to be up next year when they are at the lodge. Misery likes company I guess!I'm glad someone enjoyed our company you sure the HELL did not!!!!Great job on first time guest finding lake trout and nice size pike!!!GREAT picture from the bathroom window I never looked at it that way myself guess when your standing doing your thing you are watching not to miss the bowl more than anything?Look forward to some pictures from the gentleman who appreciate us Wisconsin Cheeseheads!!!
Gord June 9, 2009 at 9:32 pm Reply "you sure the HELL did not!!" Wow, that's a little harsh! Where's the LOVE? Neil was most impressed there were other people in camp (particularly Mark R.) who seemed to enjoy their beverages more than he did.
DustinK June 9, 2009 at 11:40 pm Reply LOL. It was good to meet them, and I had a good conversation one night with the father on the deck while I was working the grill! Glad to see they enjoyed themselves as well!

Neil June 10, 2009 at 1:23 am Reply We had a good time indeed. We enjoyed misery so much that we requested to be notified when it makes it's annual reservation. There are more photos and I will work on getting them posted too. Taking the photo out the bathroom window while holding the camera and not the tool was messy indeed, but I had to take that shot! No pun intended! The views around Vermilion Bay were spectacular to say the least. Many times we saw the beer donkeys bringing massive quantities of liquor up and down the lodge trails. Hee Haw, Hee Haw! I have photos of them too, but we are waiting for National Enquirer to make us an offer for them before going public. I'm sure Mike is going through withdrawals now that the Wisconsin boys left. If all treat Mike as we as they did, I doubt he'll go back to school. He has it made! Mike was a great host too and is a great young man. He will do well, which is amazing considering the many summers he has spent under the duress of the Perchman and others. Dad and I now know the hot spot and the much guarded secret spot that Gord made us swear to never reveal. Dad was especially impressed with the secret Trout cage in Walleye Hwy. Since Gord had already emptied the Walleye cage for the annual Walleye tourney, we did not get to see the 30+ inch Walleyes. Next year I will be ready to match the Professors skills in Walleye fishing. I have ordered an extra long appendage with green glove attached and it should be here in time this summer for me to practice the cast and pitch with. The fishing here in Kansas is in full swing now, but it does not compare to the fishing we experienced at Eagle Lake! Bye for now. Neil

"Neil said"He will do well, which is amazing considering the many summers he has spent under the duress of the Perchman and others. Now this one can be pinned on one person and that would be Mark R. He is the one who has been tooling Mike over the years. I can't and won't take any credit for this.Nor would I want to I hate it when I get put on Susanne's "BAD" list.
