Fall Fishing Update!

We are moving past the mid point of September and the fishing has been good. Muskies are being caught and some giants are making their presence known. Pike and walleye in good numbers and for those venturing the portage trail the trout and whitefish are still cooperative. Lake levels, while still very low, seem to be edging upwards….let’s hope this continues! Weather has been rather mild for this time of year….no frost yet and water temperatures are currently 62 degrees. We are hosting guests till October 12th this year so there will be at least one more fishing update, plus a report on Musky Madness, the first week in October. Here’s a few photo’s from the past few weeks…

September 1st. was a big fish day…trout and musky!

If you like GREAT fishing, hospitality and affordability, Vermilion Bay Lodge is highly recommended. I have been making the trip to Vermilion Bay Lodge for the past 10 years and have never once been disappointed. If you like great walleye, northern, musky and trout fishing, this place should not be overlooked. The fishing has been excellent… no matter what time we went.
